That day of the year which awards the ‘top prize’ in the movie industry is here – the 2018 Academy Awards. Included below is a list of the 2018 Oscar Nominees. I extend my sincere congratulations to all the nominees in their respective categories, and may you all applaud each other.

However, I hope each nominee remembers the reason they are walking the red carpet, standing on the stage – or even there – instead of using the platform as a political sounding board – that of which has gotten tired, redundant, and old.

Again my congratulations to all the nominees, but there can only be one award per nomination. My way of looking at it, is if you have been fortunate to have been nominated in your field, you have already won, regardless of who walks away with the prize.
