Google’s Top Ranked Romantic Fiction Author Rusty Blackwood Talks Dirty …

well … maybe not the dirty one might expect, but rather the barefoot kind where one picks up dirt from the ground as one walks without shoes. I hope everyone is taking time out to enjoy the summer — obviously not those in the southern hemisphere — but those of us where the summer season is still upon us but short, and rather fleeting by way of long, hazy days without cold, wet, snow. It will be upon us before we know it! Brr!

Today I did another insightful interview for my newly released romantic fiction, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ Copy of Rusty_Blackwood_Cover_Newfor The Author Show, http://www.theauthorshow.com, the number one ranked internet radio show coast to coast. I always enjoy this kind of interview, for it really gets down to the nitty-gritty of a title, and shows the potential reader why they should consider obtaining a copy. This informative interview will air in a few weeks and I will be announcing the broadcast date when I receive it.

Why, one might innocently ask, does an author feel the need to repeatedly do interviews? Good question, but one that deserves an answer to a question that really answers itself. How does anyone, anyone that is who is seriously trying to become known, not open to doing interviews to further their work and their name? The interview, regardless of type, is an essential necessity in any area of the Arts — one might say in any area of any field. The information that is divulged during one can often bring answers to unanswered questions, or it can raise questions with regard to the information at hand, but for me it is an important tool and one that I don’t take lightly. The genre of romantic fiction is a huge HUGE one, an endless array of titles and authors’ names being fired at the reading public faster than rapid machine gun fire — which title is good, which one will I like, which one should I have left alone? And don’t let names fool you! Just because the cover carries a well-known name does not always secure a good read. Think about it! It’s not always easy to plunk down one’s hard-earned dollars on a chance, yet often times those hard-earned dollars are wasted on well known names churning out that latest sure-to-be-a-hit novel. It’s an ongoing battle for both authors and their potential readers regardless of their position in the ranks. Am I talking dirty, nasty nonsense, or am I speaking clear, honest truth? You be the judge. Comments are always welcomed and encouraged, regardless of opinion, and whether they surround the genre of romantic fiction or not.
