I apologize for being late with this Newsletter as I’ve not been well. I am managing to gain ground; doctor says I have a virus embedded in my bronchial area and have developed asthma. Who would think that an adult whom never developed it as a child would do so as an adult, but apparently that’s not the case here and apparently not uncommon. Anyway, I’ve meds in hand, and hopefully will continue to gain ground and now on with my condensed Newsletter.
>> This has been a busy month really and it began with the airing on April 2nd of the radio interview I did with Joe Crawford of The Joe Show Live; broadcast on The Dr. Kevin Radio Network. It was a fun time talking about Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary and I look forward to returning to his program when Willow’s Walk is released.
>> April 12th found me from 2 – 5 pm at the always elegant Fairview Mall Chapters https://www.facebook.com/ChaptersSt.Catharines signing copies of Passions in Paris and greeting both familiar and new faces. This is always a bustling book store, and from my vantage point I get to see a lot of happenings throughout my time at the front of the store. You can catch an insight into Spring Fragrance of ‘Passions’ by taking this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152420336672033.1073741837.192607652032&type=1
Those in my area may acquire copies of Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary at Coles in Welland Ontario’s’ Seaway Mall https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coles-Seaway-Mall/131913826860148. Those obtaining a copy may bring it by Coles on May 24th between 1 and 4:45 pm where I’ll be on hand signing copies of Passions. Hope to see you there!
>> Nominations for Indie Author land’s 50 Best Self-Published Novels Worth Reading (2013/14) began this month and I am proud to say that my Passions in Paris gained enough nominations in the romance genre to make the cut. Final voting is now underway, and I have been extremely busy campaigning for votes. You may cast up to five votes by taking this link: http://www.indieauthorland.com/vote-50-self-published-books-worth-reading-201314-2/ Voting closes May 14th.
>> The second video for the three-part audio/video series An Evening with Rusty Blackwood was released on April 22nd and can be viewed at my website https://rusty-blackwood.com in the interview section. Please check out this month’s Official Press Release, featuring Evenings release here: http://heavenonearthsystem.blogspot.ca/2014/04/romantic-fiction-author-rusty-blackwood.html
>> On May 9th please watch for Indie author Cheryl Robinson’s interview with me, airing on her Blog at http://www.cherylholloway.net/blog/ This was a fun interview to do, and I thank Ms. Robinson for her support of the Indie author.
April has not been the best by way of weather and I hope that May will bring the sunshine and warmth that April has been remiss in doing. Maybe then we can all feel better, and partake of the glorious season of spring. I would like to thank all of you for your concern with regard to my health, and also for your ongoing support of my work. It is greatly appreciated, every single nuisance. And as always, support your local author as well as all your local talent in the Arts!
Rusty.
