Season’s Greetings from me & the character cast of ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’!!!
As we are now entering the festive season and fast approaching the big day I decided to write my monthly newsletter early. This way I can do two things at once, post my December news, and write salutations and best wishes to all of you whom receive this writing.
Not a lot of news to write this month as I’ve done no public events, which is usually the norm for December in Niagara and activities throughout the circuit, but it’s still nice, plus a wonderful opportunity, to touch base with each of you and let you know how very much I appreciate your support of my work.
This month’s official Press Release was done a little different than normal, and although it looks very much the same in appearance, the intended path and direction of it was much different than prior ones. It is both my hope, and that of my stellar, ever-faithful Marketing Rep & Publicist, Don McCauley, that it makes its intended mark. Fingers and toes (and everything else that might comfortably cross) are in place with regard that it does. Oh how wonderful that would be!
You may check out its content by taking this link: http://ow.ly/Fd8VJ and please share it on to anyone who might be interested in the plight of an independent author and what that choice encompasses. I really don’t think the majority of readers realize what the term ‘Independent’ or ‘Indie author’ truly means, let alone what it entails. This is why support by not only sales, but word of mouth is so very important, and I so appreciate the dedication that so many of you continue to give. It’s certainly not taken lightly by me, nor is it over-looked or reduced in any measure as I continue to strive forward.
As the glorious Christmas season is almost upon us I’m on temporary hiatus from the writing of ‘Willow’s Walk’, my upcoming romantic fiction drama that is expected for release in June 2015. I’ve been told by some, who are anticipating its release, that June of 2015 is eons away, but it will be upon us faster than we realize, and it does take a fair-amount of time to not only write a novel, but bring it to published fruition, so please be patient with me. In the interim I will continue to post excerpts, both written and audio, on my media sites and if you’ve any questions please feel free to ask. In the meantime, please enjoy a sneak-peak at the finished cover.
I truly cannot believe how fast time actually flies. It seems like it was only a few months ago that 2014 began, and here we are, celebrating Winter Solstice, and ten days away from the cusp of 2015. I hope each of you enjoys the warmth of this beautiful and magical season, and my very best wishes to you and yours for a healthy, safe, and Happy 2015!!
Rusty 🙂

Can’t wait to get a copy of the new novel. If it’s like the past ones it’ll be great.
Passions in Paris the Revelation was a good read and is worth the time and cost to own a copy. The Misadventures of Derwood Tugbottom is also a funny and cute book. The poetry books written be Rusty Blackwood are well written and are down to earth.
Keep up the good work Rusty.
Dear Karen,
Thank you so much for taking time to post this comment, and also for the encouraging words within it. It’s a good feeling to know that my work is both anticipated, and enjoyed by you, and I very much hope you will enjoy ‘Willow’ as much as you did ‘Passions’ and my previous titles. It’s always nice to hear from readers. I wish more would take the time to write for it is only through comments like your’s here that allow a writer insight and perception with regard to their work, what is enjoyed, or how it can be improved. I hope to hear from you again 🙂
Kindest Regards,
Rusty.
