Here we are again, fast closing in on the end of another month. I’ve said this many times in my newsletters, as well as in general, that I cannot believe how fast time flies. You look toward the future and before you realize it you are remembering it in memories. Such is the case with February 2014. What a busy, but fun month! I must say it has been enjoyable – not weather-wise (don’t even wish to go there) but in activities – and if every month could be like that then I would be having a blast every day, and now on with the news of February.
>> The biggest event of the month was The 5th Annual Romance & Sex Expo which was held on Valentine’s Day at the Ramada Plaza on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls, Ontario. What a fun time! It was a long go (5 – 11) but worth every second. So many interesting people filed by my table and my voice was trying its best to converse over the roar of the room with all of those whom wished to discuss my latest romantic fiction novel, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary.’ I was efficiently assisted by the capable Ms. Alison Meeks of AM Graphix http://www.am-graphix.com/ and I wish to publicly thank her for her help and assistance throughout the hectic evening. “You’re a gem, sweetie, and I hope we can do it again!” Grab this link for some candid and professional shots: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152301045852033.1073741832.192607652032&type=1
I also did a short interview with the cool and fun Joe Crawford of The Joe Show Live at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VboAcHEM1k#t=1963 What a scream. This guy is so much fun, and I look forward to sitting down with him to discuss Passions/Revelations on the radio portion of his show next month. Broadcast date to follow, check my media sites for updates at: http://www.rustyblackwood.com, http://www.facebook.com/rustyblackwood, https://twitter.com/rusty_blackwood, and http://www.linkedin.com/pub/rusty-blackwood/3a/351/122.
Author Rusty Blackwood was on hand at the fourth annual Niagara Romance and Sex Expo to sign copies of her latest book, Passions in Paris.
RICHARD HUTTON/NIAGARA THIS WEEK
*It should have stated ‘5th’ annual instead of 4th. Just an unexpected oversight not intended, and this photo appeared in the February 20th edition, Vol. 10, Issue 48 www.niagarathisweek.com and appears here courtesy of photographer Richard Hutton, and Niagara this Week.
>> One week after this fun event found me at Fairview Mall CHAPTERS in St. Catharines https://www.facebook.com/ChaptersSt.Catharines signing copies of ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ from 1 – 4 pm. This is always such a fun place to sign one’s work. The people are interesting, and the staff excellent. A huge thank you to both Stacey, and Marilyn! I am next there on April 12th from 1 – 4 pm. You can check it out by taking this following link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152324586032033.1073741835.192607652032&type=1

>> In the world of writing and publishing, especially Indie publishing, getting your work into as many outlets as you possibly can is not always an easy chore, but it is a must, and my latest sojourn was to Smashwords.com. Here, my romantic fiction drama, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ is available on all reading devices. It was officially announced in my latest Press Release by my Marketing & Publicist Don McCauley, and may be obtained by following this link: http://www.freepublicitygroup.com/release_rusty_blackwood_romance_novel_jan114.html

>> Preparations continue on the upcoming three-part audio/video series, An Evening with Rusty Blackwood, the first coming in March. Check my media sites for updates, date, and time.
>> Work continues to flourish with my upcoming fictional romance drama, ‘Willow’s Walk’, a insightful, heart-touching romantic drama that takes a magnified look into the controversial life of Willow Sutherland-Crosby, the often unsettling road she walks, and what happens when the road drops off before her.
As this frigid, stormy month comes to a close, I would once again like to thank each and every one of you who kindly take the time to follow my news, my work, and my journey. It is through word of mouth, shared news events, and ongoing support that make a writer’s journey worth all of the trails it can encounter. Thank you all. And, as always, support your local authors, as well as all local talent in the Arts!
Best Regards,
Rusty.
