Is it cold enough for everybody here in Canada and the northern United States? I’d say!! But then it’s that time of year, it’s to be expected, and up until recently the weather – at least in my neck-of-the-woods – has really been grand. Nice temps and a decent amount of sunshine. But I live in what is considered Canada’s banana belt, so what can I say? I love it here, and have from the day I moved here! And now on with the news!
It’s been a busy month in many ways. My fall book signing lineup finished this month and now I look forward to the late winter signings which will begin in January 2014. Hmm… 2014, seems a long way off, but it will be here in 38 days! Wow!!
>> November 16th found me front and center of the popular COLES in the delightful Seaway Mall in Welland, Ontario . https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coles-Seaway-Mall/131913826860148 And, as always, it was nice seeing familiar faces. I look forward to my return in the New Year. For an insight into the day, as well as my view while signing, check out these elegant touches. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152111703002033.1073741829.192607652032&type=1 If you look real close you can see the reflection of my table in the Christmas balls.
>> The following Saturday, November 23rd found me in my favorite signing haunt, the elegant Chapters in St. Catharines’ Fairview Mall. https://www.facebook.com/ChaptersSt.Catharines I love this store. Everything is displayed so beautifully and the aisles are always bustling with people from every walk of life. A great experience for any writer to par-take while promoting their work. To catch an insight of the signing, have a peek at these great pics exclusively shot by Miss Carson E. Doan of Carson E. Doan Photography. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152111717287033.1073741830.192607652032&type=1
>> I am most pleased to announce the arrival of ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ to E PUB, allowing its availability in NOOK, KOBO, Sony, Apple, and a number of exciting outlets. This also allows Passions/Revelations to be downloaded to your favorite reading device, and can be obtained at the order desk, or computer kiosks in your bookstore of choice. Please watch for this, and if you don’t find it, ask for it.
>> I recently did a video entitled ‘A Retrospect’ – Images Behind the Words, Volume 1. This reflective look back in time covers many years, reveals many looks, providing an insight into the inspiration behind the words I write. It can be viewed on You Tube at: http://youtu.be/q71kQY9Oueo
>> Preparations continue on the upcoming series of candid interviews to be conducted by Don McCauley, celebrated radio host of The Author Show and The Authors Marketing Powerhouse, entitled: An Evening with Rusty, beginning in January 2014.
>>Work progresses on ‘Willow’s Walk,’ my upcoming, fictional romance drama that tells a riveting story of what can happen when a situation goes array; pushing the central character just a little too far. Be sure to check my website at https://rusty-blackwood.com for updates on this exciting new novel. Remember, comments are always welcome, and I would love to hear from you!
As we draw closer to the end of November, I would once again like to take the opportunity to thank each, and every one who support my work in the various ways that you do. It is truly appreciated, and never over-looked. And, as always, support your local authors, as well as all your local talent in the Arts!
Cheers!
Rusty.
