Romantic Fiction Author Rusty Blackwood’s October Newsletter 2015!!!

006

A spooky “Hello” and “Welcome” to my Halloween Newsletter, 2015. This celebration is a bit different for me, as it has been just over a month since the passing of my mother, and I’m just not into things as vibrantly as usual. It’s been a most difficult time, and I’m sure the path before me will be very hard for awhile. But Mom raised a strong, resilient daughter, so I shall continue down the path before me as best I can. Mom always enjoyed Halloween. I think she felt it the time of year when she could let her inner child out, and enjoy every second of it. I well remember many Halloweens as a child, putting the spookiest costume together I could find out of the ‘scrap box,’ and embarking with my friends on our yearly trek throughout the neighborhood, past the old swamp which sat between my dad’s farm, and my best girlfriends dad’s right next door, and onward through the neighborhood which had suddenly taken on a creepy, somewhat one dimensional presentation. I wrote a children’s short based on one of these Halloween excursions, fictional of course, entitled, ‘The Happening in the Hollow,’ which can be found in my collections, ‘Young Minds,’ and ‘Through the Eyes of Innocence.’ I think it was one of Mom’s favorites. Now the news of October!

>> Because of my mom’s passing, I took a hiatus for awhile and returned to work the middle of this month. I had cancelled a few public events, but came back in time to take my 4-star, romantic fiction drama, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ to the Local Authors Book Fair on October 24, at the Niagara Falls Public Library on Victoria Ave. in Niagara Falls, Ontario. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10153207298958861&id=8352228860 It was good to be back among fellow authors, some of which I have gotten to know well, some have become friends, but ‘all’ are wonderfully gifted in their chosen genres. > > The official, and most sensual theatrical trailer for my soon-to-be-released, 5-star, romantic fiction drama, ‘Willow’s Walk’ was released late this summer, and has proven to be fully as entertaining as the one for ‘Passions in Paris’. Turn up your volume, and have a look by taking this link: https://rusty-blackwood.com/willow/ Many times I have spoken about the importance of Press Releases. I’m sure they are fully required in any line of business, but for the Indie author, they are a must. Please take this link for the latest: http://bit.ly/1P4ERP2

> The time grows increasingly near for the release of my riveting new romantic fiction drama, ‘Willow’s Walk’, and I cannot wait! This novel has endured countless setbacks from its initial inception, but it, like me, is determined to prevail. Please watch my media sites, as well as online literary news for its upcoming November 2015 release. This novel has garnered a 5-star rating while still in pre-release, and I am so totally proud of it. Pre-orders are always welcome, as are review requests, and comments.

>> In November please catch me at Seaway Mall COLES in Welland, Ontario on November 21st from 1 – 4:30 pm, as I sign copies of ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ which makes a perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season, as well as the long winter nights ahead.

>> November 28th will find me and ‘Passions/Revelations’ taking part in the Ferndale School Xmas Bazaar in St. Catharines, Ontario between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm. Depending on the release date in November, ‘Willow’ may be with me! Check my website for updates!

As Halloween is almost upon us, please give special awareness and care to the children out and about celebrating this most special evening. Drive with caution, and with your ‘3rd’ eye open.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your most kind condolences to me and my family in the recent loss of my mother. Your words of kindness and encouragement have helped me more than you know; they will never be forgotten.

And as always, support your local authors, as well as ‘all’ your local talent in the Arts!

Cheers, and Happy Halloween!

Rusty.
