Rusty Blackwood’s January Newsletter 2020 …
Greetings Everyone!
Welcome to a brand-new year! I hope 2020 will be a good year for all of you in all ways. It’s like a fresh canvas, ready for colour, texture, and whatever you wish it to be, so make it a good one. As my monthly Newsletters come out at the end of the month, meaning the month is pretty-much gone by the time I speak with you all, I hope it’s been a good one. Hard to believe it’s almost finished, and we will move into February, Valentines Day, Family Day, and moving ever closer to spring!
As I don’t book events throughout the winter months due to the possibility of inclement weather, I don’t have any to speak about, except for online happenings which I take part in as often as I can. Over the years I have done many interviews as that is part of the writing world, as well as publishing, and I must say I don’t mind doing them and I hope my answers to the questions are informative. It can often be a challenge to keep the answers fresh and not a repeat of an answer to the same question from another interviewer, but overall, I believe I do alright. Here is my latest interview; this one by Interviews with Writers. Please free to comment in the section provided for that and share it on. I am pleased to say that my upcoming novel, Return to Autumn, the exciting follow-up to my 5-star awarded romantic drama, The Perils of Autumn, is flourishing. I am enjoying the creation of this follow-up fully as much as I did with its predecessor as I once again immerse myself into the exciting equestrian world, Autumn’s new adventures, and the beauty of Landon Lawns Stables, complete with its staff’s ongoing trials and tribulations surrounding its unscrupulous jockey, Duff Taylor. This novel is expected for release (hopefully) in late spring; of course, I will keep you updated each month.
In the meantime, I will share an insight into the story. This month I shall offer Chapter 9 : If I Am Exceptionally Careful at this secure link: https://www.rusty-blackwood.com/rusty-offers-chapter-9-return-autumn/?fbclid=IwAR06ifYPioJn_2TnPKZ8d-YzYEUGorCXUX4wKkeyuUrwHbNZvL6DR3qqgH8

For fans of dear old Derwood Tugbottom and his hilarious ongoing comedy series, I am planning to begin the fourth installment titled, Derwood Comes Home. I don’t mind admitting that I adore Derwood, and I have a wonderful time writing his eccentric adventures. For those who are unfamiliar with Derwood, or have not read the first three titles in the series, beginning with The Misadventures of Derwood Tugbottom, followed by Derwood Returns, and the last, Derwood Goes Caribbean, I invite you to check them out at my book page at Amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/s?k=rusty+blackwood&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 and at Amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=rusty+blackwood&ref=nb_sb_noss.

As I finish this first Newsletter of 2020, I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a sweet, beautiful and romantic Valentine’s Day. And for those, like me who are on their own, you don’t require a special someone to enjoy the day, for you are special too, so enjoy.
As always, thanks to each of you who continue to follow and support me as you do, it is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted. And remember, support your local authors as well as all your local talents in the Arts! See you next month 🙂
Cheers!
Rusty B.
