There’s nothing like bringing something right down to the wire! The month has one day left, not much time if one is supposed to produce their monthly newsletter in a timely fashion. But it could be worse – last day – or no day at all, so I shall cut the nonsense here and get on with my news for June!
>> The entire month has been dedicated to the Niagara Literary Arts Festival (NLAF) which has been taking place at assorted venues throughout the Niagara area, opening at Seaway Mall in Welland, assorted venues thereafter, and will be culminating with the finale on June 30th at Patrick Sheehan’s Irish Pub in downtown St. Catharines. Take this link to view the entire month of activities http://www.nlaf.jigsy.com/ It’s been a great month of stories, poetry, and music. I am honored to be included among such impeccable talent, the likes of which rival the best anywhere in the world. I honestly believe that Hemmingway, Falkner, Bronte, and Dickinson would be proud, not to mention countless others in between.
As the roaster states, I was onboard for several events, loved each and every one of them, and thoroughly enjoyed the names appearing with me. One thing I do wish, is that we had more media coverage and photographs throughout the month. A couple of the names brought their own photographers – their names I do not know – but it would be nice to find out, and have them share a few pics on their websites. If any of my fellow artists know who these photographers are, it would be nice to hear from you, and also to contact them on your own as pics were taken of all participants on the nights these photogs were present not just the name they were there to cover. I am no photographer, but I did manage to capture Saturday, June 27th’s lineup in the order they took the stage. I had to do a ‘selfie’ when I got home and then include it in the album I posted on my Rusty Facebook, which can be seen by taking this link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153530375827033.1073741851.192607652032&type=3

And be sure to watch for the Official Theatrical Trailer for ‘Willow’s Walk’ coming next month!
Also, for those in the St. Catharines and surrounding district, the last reading for the NLAF takes place TUESDAY, JUNE 30th! Start time 7 pm, and the lineup is spectacular! Pull out all the stops on this one and get there if you can! You will NOT be disappointed!
As I close this month’s news, I would again like to thank all of you who so kindly continue to support my work in the many ways that you do. I am humbled by your thoughtful and encouraging words, and for those of you who have purchased my work I hope you enjoy each and every word. Also, should anyone on my mailing list wish to be removed, please contact me via e-mail, Facebook, or my website, and it will be promptly taken care of but of course I hope you continue to remain on the list.
And as always, support your local authors, as well as all your local talent in the Arts!
Cheers!
Rusty
