Is it hot enough for everyone?! This is really turning out to be a record year throughout the area, everywhere, it seems. All one can do is try their best to stay cool, however achieved, and wherever you are I hope you are staying comfortable, and now on with the news of July…

>> When I wrote June’s newsletter the last performance, in fact the grand finale of 2015’s Niagara Literary Arts Festival, had not yet happened. The entire month found those of us taking part extremely busy, many reading and performing at numerous outlets throughout the festival. This also included yours truly, who took part in six events. I had a blast, as always, and got to meet not only the wonderful supporters of literature in the area, but some wonderful authors, poets, and musicians. The yearly event brings artists from all over Niagara, as well as Toronto, to perform their original works of which are outstanding in the field.

>> June 31st was the grand finale, and grand it was! It was held, as it was last year, at Patrick Sheehan’s Irish Pub in downtown St. Catharines, with a fantastic lineup on the closing roaster. >> I am both happy and proud to announce the completed manuscript of ‘Willow’s Walk’. Now it goes to its final proof read, edit, and then on to production. For those who do not write it would be difficult, if not impossible, to know the excitement the completion of a manuscript brings to its writer, especially a manuscript that has been in the making for quite some time. When it does come out, and this is expected fall 2015, I hope it will be met with applause, and acceptance. And for those in my immediate area wishing to secure a pre-ordered paperback copy you may do so by dropping me a line at my official website at https://rusty-blackwood.com or by e-mailing me directly at writerrusty@hotmail.ca.

>> I’m also pleased to announce ‘Willow’s’ brand new cover! It is breath-taking, and I look forward to unveiling it soon! Please check my website and assorted media sites for updates.

>> Anticipation builds for the coming release of ‘Willow’s’ Official Theatrical Trailer’. Please stay tuned, as it is certain to please.

>> My first book-signing for the fall season has been confirmed and will be taking place at the elegant Chapters in Ancaster, Ontario on September 19th from 2 – 5 pm, where I will be signing paperback copies of my 4-star romantic fiction drama, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary.’ tmp_myo_IFe2Jc
I am still immensely proud of this novel, and often feel I shall never top it, that is something yet unknown of course, but I will never lose the love I have for the cast of Passions/Revelations and their extremely moving and riveting story.

>> Poetry is a huge love of mine, both reading it, and writing it. I’ve not yet enough for a new collection, but the time grows near when I will. In the meantime you may obtain paperback copies of my 2nd. collection IMPRESSIONS at: http://www.amazon.com/Impressions-Emotion-Ms-Rusty-Blackwood/dp/1466296348/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 In my immediate area paperback copies can be obtained by contacting me directly at my website, Facebook, or through e-mail. In the meantime please check out my official poetry site, ‘Inspiration in Thought’ at, http://poetrypoem.com/cgi-bin/index.pl?sitename=rusty5&item=home&poetry=true and enjoy!

>> I have currently been requested an interview by the extremely talented children’s author, as well as flutist, Eleanor Lawrie, which will be taking place this fall. Check for updates on this. Ms. Lawrie is the author of the delightful 5-star ‘Complete Adventures of Shelby F. Squirrel’ the link of which is here: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Adventures-Shelby-Squirrel-Friends/dp/0993747833/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1438298807&sr=1-1&keywords=eleanor+lawrie. The talented Ms. Lawrie and I have the writing of children’s stories in common, as I wrote the children’s shorts collection entitled ‘Young Minds’ which was later released with additional content under the title, ‘Through the Eyes of Innocence’ and can be obtained at: http://www.amazon.com/Through-Eyes-Innocence-Rusty-Blackwood/dp/1466466073/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 In my immediate area paperback copies may be obtained by e-mailing me directly at the address listed above.

As another month draws to a close, I would once again like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who so diligently, and kindly support my work in the many ways that you do. I am humbled by it, and I very much appreciate it.

A monthly newsletter is a great way to share with each of you news of my writings, as well as past and coming events, but should you wish to be removed from the mailing list, please contact me and your request will be carried through.

And as always, support your local authors, as well as all your local talent in the Arts!
Cheers 
Rusty.
