As Promised — Indie Author Land’s Top 50 Self-Published Books Worth Reading Results …

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations to all the winners, especially to Wayne Mallows for placing #16 over-all with his excellently written ‘Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary’. I was extremely honored to have had my romantic fiction drama ‘Passions in Paris’ make the top 10 short list in the romance genre among the astonishing entries that were in the running. It was great fun among some wonderfully talented writers and their fine work, and we are all winners regardless of our final placement.

I have not done the math, and with the exception of not taking 1st to 5th place, I don’t know exactly where I placed in the top 10, I only know I made the top ten, which is nothing to be unhappy about because the genre of romance was the largest genre with the largest amount of votes. Each person had 5 ‘legal’ votes — there were tons of ill-legal but they did not count, as well they should not, and many only voted once as opposed to those who voted the full five, so in that case it really depends on who follows these contests, who pays attention, and who can be bothered. But this takes nothing away from the winners for their work was excellent in their fields, and I hope their sales grow because of it.
