Author RUSTY BLACKWOOD’S AUGUST NEWSLETTER 2019

Welcome readers! So nice to touch base with you once again for the last time this summer! When we next meet via Newsletter, it will be officially fall. The summer has sped in a blinding light – at least that’s the way it feels to me – I’m sure to many of you as well. No public events to chat about this month for as many of you know, I don’t do signings and or local author events over the summer months nor during the dead of winter. I haven’t for some time. Besides, writers are allowed summer holidays too, and reserve the right to design their work calendars as they see fit, any time of the year.

However, just because I don’t do local summer events throughout my area, does not mean I’m not busy, especially online, with constant events happening there. The only difference between that and local events, is that I don’t have to be present in the physical sense. I am in the planning stages of a new Book Blog Tour, coming this November, just in time for the holiday season. Do stay tuned for updates on that.

Throughout August, I have been having fun doing a laid-back, impromptu outdoor video series, titled, Get On the Patio with Rusty Blackwood. This ongoing, often revealing series, is now at video ten of twelve. I am doing my eleventh video today, August 29th, so do watch for it. This series is available to view, comment, and share on at my Rusty Blackwood YouTube Channel at the following secure link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH3uNXYYYxsajVl1iAFGI6A?view_as=subscriber. They can also be viewed on my official website’s Journal: https://www.rusty-blackwood.com/journal/.

My Fall signing calendar is beginning to fill, beginning with September book signing events for my latest romantic fiction drama, The Perils of Autumn, published by Tellwell Talent. This novel is a Readers Favorite Books’ 5-star-award-winning novel, and now a 2019 International Book Awards Finalist in Romance.

Autumn and I will be appearing for the time at Stoney Creek Indigo, from 1 – 4 pm on Sunday, September 22nd. Further info can be obtained by taking this secure link:  https://www.facebook.com/events/600025100520849/.

On Saturday, September 28th., Autumn and I will be returning to Pen Center Coles from 1-4 pm and you may gather further info by taking this secure link: https://www.facebook.com/events/338870146997367/. For readers in my area, as well as those in Stoney Creek, I invite you come out to meet me, and ‘take the ride’ within the pages of this endearing story, one that is sure to keep you turning pages, and one that you will not forget.

Work slowly progresses on the follow-up to The Perils of Autumn, titled, Return to Autumn. I am very much enjoying carrying on the delightful story and again spending time at Landon Lawns Stables with Autumn, Cyril, Agnes, Manfred, William, Elliot, and even Duff Taylor. I am also introducing a new ‘antagonist’, one for whose ‘choices’ will have you forming your own opinion, and that is what makes character creation so rewarding.

This is a rather short Newsletter, but I hope you enjoy the info it holds. It is an exciting time for me now, as my eldest granddaughter Carson – whom you may know as my exclusive photographer – is getting married this Saturday, August 28th to her long-time ‘best friend’, Garrett, in a beautifully planned ceremony within nature.

I shall be sure to share an official photograph of the bride & groom in September’s Newsletter.

School begins next week, so I ask each of you to be aware, drive with caution, respect the school bus and always STOP when the sign is projected. Keep our children safe. They are the future.

I wish to thank each of you for your unwavering and constant support of my work. It means more than you know. Please support your local authors, as well as all your local talents in the Arts!

Cheers!

Rusty B.
