Author Rusty Blackwood’s June Newsletter 2019…

Greetings everyone, welcome to my end of month Newsletter, and to Summer!

The time is flying; can hardly believe we are into summer, and the hot, hazy days are here. This month has been another busy one for me regarding my work. Always something needing done, as well as trying to work on Return to Autumn, my follow-up novel to The Perils of Autumn, published by Tellwell Talent and it is slowly coming along. A few chapters are now completed, and the story continues to grow. I really must admit that this 2-part series is my favourite thus far. I believe all writers have their favourite stories and characters they have created. I know I do, and I have simply fallen in love with Cyril Landon, and have enjoyed bringing him and nurse Autumn Leeves together in the way that I have. I love horses, maybe that has a lot to do with why it has become my favourite, the exciting world of the thoroughbred as well as the working hunter, and all that goes on at a working stable – add to this the trials and tribulations that occur within it all.

I took The Perils of Autumn on its first Virtual Blog Tour, sponsored by Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and it was a phenomenal experience. Four days, beginning June 10^th through to the 14^th with different Blogs featuring The Perils of Autumn each day. I was so pleased to see the response to this 5-star romantic fiction drama, and I look forward to taking ‘Autumn’ on a larger Blog Tour this fall. In mid-March of this year I entered The Perils of Autumn into the annual International Book Awards, held out of Los Angeles, CA and I am most pleased to announce that out of 2,000 entries, The Perils of Autumn was chosen along with 5 other entries, as FINALIST! June 15^th found ‘Autumn’ and I at Fairview Mall Chapters in St. Catharines. This was the 3^rd leg in the official Niagara Launch/Signing Tour for the novel. It’s always nice seeing familiar faces and meeting new and interesting readers.
