Easter is a time of rebirth, not only for the earth, but for everything upon it. When I was a child, Easter was a very special time of year, and it was celebrated as such. We would dress in our finest, boil eggs, dye and decorate them in fanciful colours, usually well known Easter colours of blue, green, orange, pink, turquoise, and yellow. Each egg was a masterpiece and one we didn’t wish to remove the colourful shell and eat. We also had a visit from Peter Rabbit, bringing delightful baskets filled with chocolate eggs, some filled with cream, some with marshmallow, and some totally hollow. There were Easter treats molded into the shapes of chickens, roosters, ducks, eggs, and rabbits. Each was designed to signify the new birth happening within each actual species. New life was appearing everywhere; all one had to do was look around and listen. Nature’s activity was everywhere. Everything and everyone was experiencing and reaping rebirth within them, a chance to begin again. I, along with many others, carried this ritual into adulthood where I taught the same to my children. Life can be enjoyable in countless ways; the best is often right before your eyes, in a meadow, a stream, in the sky and for those who have family, in their eyes.

To my readers, fans, and followers, may you reap the delights of this Blessed Season, and enjoy the rebirth in nature, and in each of us.
