November is fast leaving us, and though it is one of the shortest months of the year, it has never been one of my favourites – in fact it was always my least favourite growing up and for many years into my adult life – however I must admit the last few Novembers have been much nicer than October with regard to weather. Usually I find November to be dull, rain drizzling every day, bare trees, and all round crap, but November of late has brought us sunny skies, mild temps, and prolonged ability to get outdoor things done, and now on with the November news …

As I had mentioned in my October newsletter, I was going to be doing my first official signing for my re-released, 5 star award winning romantic fiction drama, ‘Willow’s Walk,’ at Ancaster Chapters on October 30th. Was a busy day for a Sunday, I usually prefer doing signings on a Saturday as the reader traffic is often higher, and more interested in those who are there with their latest books, but I have to say that Sunday proved to be a good choice. The Christmas events have begun, but I am only doing one this year, and that is the upcoming hugely popular Ridley Christmas Market, to be held on December 2nd between 2 – 7 pm at the Ridley College Fieldhouse, 2 Ridley Rd., St. Catharines, Ontario. I did this market last year, and I have to say that without a doubt there must have been five hundred shoppers, checking out the endless lines of tables offering everything from soup to nuts and a lot of cool stuff in between. This year I am joined by celebrated St. Catharines children’s author, Eleanor Lawrie, with her superb series, The Complete Adventures of Shelby F Squirrel & Friends, and her second book in the series, the newly released, The Great Forrest Caper. This is a great opportunity for mothers and children, something to entertain the kids at one end of the table, and something delicious for their mom at the other end. I will have both romance novels, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’, and my newly re-released, 5 star award winning romance drama, ‘Willow’s Walk’. I will also be giving away FREE, SIGNED copies of Willow’s Walk brochure complete with some special surprises inside. Copies are limited, so be sure to get yours.  https://www.facebook.com/events/331312940578847/

Work has been slow on my newest novel, ‘The Perils of Autumn’, but it will be resuming in January.

Autumn Leeves, the young, attractive and beguiling practical nurse who comes to care for the ailing wife of an aging, eccentric English horse-master at Landon Lawns Stables, his sprawling equestrian center situated just outside Lexington, Kentucky, finds more than she bargained for when she meets Duff Taylor, a bold, and celebrated jockey. But Duff has a secret, and he will stop at nothing to prevent its exposure. Will Autumn discover it, or will she suffer the same fate as William Brown, the stable’s poor lead-hand?

When supporting an author, whether they are self-published or standard, your support is worth more than you realize. By sharing news, re-posting comments and articles, writing reviews, and simply by using word of mouth, means so much for an author’s credibility, popularity, and success. I thank each and every one of you who kindly support me in the many ways that you do. I appreciate each and every gesture, regardless of how little or how large, for each one is important, and helps in ways you would never imagine possible.

At this time I would like to take the opportunity to wish each, and every one of you, as well as your families, a very Happy, Peaceful, and Enjoyable Holiday Season, and regardless of your individual beliefs and or rituals, I wish you joy untold. Celebrate this wonderful and magical time of year. Spend time with those you love, remember those no longer with us, and don’t forget the ones less fortunate this season. Help however you can, however large or small, it all means so very much to those less fortunate than you. I adore the Yuletide, and I also celebrate the birth of Christ. May you all share in the love and light this season brings to each of us.
