Love’s special day has again arrived. For many, it is a very unique time to express their love to a certain someone, possibly ask their hand in marriage, renew their wedding vows, or vows of commitment and love. But in the romance department, I think every day is special, at least it should be. There shouldn’t need to be a designated day set aside for this, or the need to show affection through the giving of candy, flowers, and cards filled with mushy sentiment. Instead, each day should be celebrated with that special someone. And even for those who are on their own, the day can still be special by way of love given and received by family and friends. This love is fully as important as the kind that is exchanged between lovers. So, on this day of universal love and affection, may I send my best wishes to my family, my friends, and my readers. Make this day special, not just because it’s Valentine’s Day, but because of those who make you smile, warm your heart with laughter and joy, and share your friendship, and love.
