A forgotten diary, lost for forty years, reveals the story of a rediscovered love nearly lost in 1999 Paris. An unforgettable romance filled with danger, intrigue, and a love without boundaries, Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary tells the story of forbidden love, salacious adultery, cunning jealousy, and unrequited passion. This complex and stirring story, revolving around star crossed soul mates, Canadian author Joy Wychmere, and Irish actor Cullen Malone, tells how their immeasurable love is put to the test by three vindictive people, the worst, namely Philippe Robealard, a delusional, misguided homosexual artist who is determined to make the unsuspecting actor suffer for stealing the man he loves, until he has paid in full with his life. Joy and Cully battle through a series of misunderstandings, embarrassment, torture, and injury until Joy is left fighting to survive a direct gunshot, while Cullen is given the choice of consuming a bottle of barbiturates – certain to take his life – or lose Joy forever if he does not. If this is not enough, the trapped couple’s fate grows direr when fire is discovered raging toward them. Endurance and determination is stretched to the limit, asking if love truly can survive all odds, and time.

and now, the cast …

Joy Wychmere: Joy is a 45 year-old Canadian interior decorator – who later becomes an author – is slight in build, 105 pounds, 5 foot 3 inches in height with thick, wavy shoulder length red hair, and crystal blue eyes. Joy was a musician in her younger years but now works in a design center. She loves adventure, is extremely loyal to those she cares about, and expressively compassionate to the one who holds her heart. She’s generous, kind and considerate to a fault; her only drawback is the fact she becomes jealous very easily, and has a bad tendency to act upon it.

Cullen Malone: Cullen – or Cully to his friends – is a world-renown, 38 year-old actor-musician from Ireland, slim in build, just slight of 6 foot in height, 150 pounds, shoulder-length black hair, wispy mustache, closely cropped goatee, with a full soul-patch beneath his lower lip. His eyes are an exotic, deep emerald green. He is wild, extremely compassionate, and wears his heart on his sleeve with a devil-may-care attitude. He is eccentric, and not afraid to be different which often leads him down avenues best left alone.

Dean Wychmere: Dean is a 48 year-old Canadian who is married to Joy. He is rugged, slim, 6 feet in height, and weighs 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes, short, graying brown hair, full mustache, and sports a close cropped beard. He is the foreman of an electrical firm, takes his position seriously, and is a hard worker. He has been marred to Joy for 28 years and they have two sons, and three grandchildren. On the whole he’s a good guy, but his eye has been known to wander and his biggest secret is one purposely kept from his wife.

André Des Jardin: Andre is a gentle, bi-sexual Frenchman in his early 60’s, usually seen sporting a grey beret whenever he is out and about. He is tall and slim with short, immaculate silver hair, and a French slim-line mustache. His eyes are an intense blue, and always twinkling. He is generous to a fault, has an extremely gentle disposition with a soft-spoken voice which can quickly rise in volume if required. He is Cullen’s personal assistant, driver, housekeeper, chef, and is an extremely intelligent and highly respected doctor, still maintaining an office in Rue Rivol Hospital.

Phillipe Robealard: Philip is a troubled, gay Frenchman in his early 40’s with a secretive past known only by André. Tall and extremely thin; Philippe is almost gaunt in appearance, with gaps between his soft enameled teeth which reveals the absence of improper care as a child. He has long, black curly hair, and steel-grey eyes. Extremely gifted in the arts, he is a sculptor-artist, and prides himself in his ability to create realistic pieces which are nothing short of out-standing. He is nervous, and speaks with a high pitch in his voice which becomes totally exaggerated whenever he becomes flustered.

Yvette Bouvier: Yvette is a striking French mademoiselle in her early 20’s, Cullen Malone’s companion, and mother of their 3 year-old daughter. She has extremely long black hair, and huge blue eyes. She is very tall, totally in control of her life, and is a successful fashion designer whom heads her own House.

Mavis Dempster: Mavis is a brown-eyed, 5 foot 6 inch American housewife in her middle 40’s from the fictional town of Hawkenshaw, Georgia who, along with her husband and gang of friends, is in Paris attending an annual Swinger’s Convention. She prides herself on being the Bingo queen of her area, and conducts herself in a bold, brassy, in-your-face manner. Her style is garish, often wearing clothing that is much too revealing. She has bright, overly-dyed blonde hair, wears too much makeup, and takes pride in her claw-like nails. She has a high regard for herself, and is used to being heard in any situation.

Dr. Arden Marceau: Arden is French, in her middle 30s, tall and slender, boasting salon sculpted blonde hair that compliments her fetching blue eyes. Wearing nothing but the finest designer labels beneath her form fitting white lab-coat, she is a power-hungry and highly skilled surgeon, married to Dr. Charles Danone, whom she latched onto for his stately position in Rue Rivol Hospital where they both hold high positions. Totally self-absorbed and assured, she fancies herself the center of attention in every possible situation, and stops at nothing to achieve it.

Dr. Charles Danone: Charles is a highly skilled surgeon who sits on the board of directors at Rue Rivol Hospital. He is a long-time friend of André Des Jardin, and Nurse Chelsea Hewitt, the latter of whom is closer to him than he lets on. He is the husband of Arden Marceau who, in a moment of ill-judgement on his part, and deceitful co-worst on hers, married her.

Pierre Corteau: Pierre is a French orderly in his middle 30’s from the south of France. He has a bad habit of acting before he thinks about the consequences surrounding his actions. Secretly he can be abusive, which is the main reason he was let go from his prior position, yet he manages to keep that under wraps while he secretly plies for the attentions of Arden Marceau.

Claude Renault: Claude is a self-employed taxi driver. He is in his early 50’s, dark, curly hair, stocky in build, and always wears poor-boy style caps. He loves to spend his off time taking his wife to the latest film, and has an upbeat attitude. He is extremely considerate of others and out-going, almost to the point where he endangers himself through his generous efforts.

Ernie Dempster: Ernie is in his late 40’s, a tough and rough red-neck mechanic from Georgia who is married to Mavis. Life for Ernie is what-ever he makes it. He has an attitude which quickly tells you that if you get in his face he’ll give as good as he gets.

Francesca Dubonet: Francesca is 40 years old and Joy’s best friend. She is Canadian, but owns an art gallery in Paris where she now resides. Like Joy she is a retired musician, but they still get together whenever she returns to Canada. She is slim, petite, 5 foot 4 inches in height, 102 pounds, with dark brown eyes, and coal black hair. Though she and Joy have always been close friends, she holds a secret that if known will tear that friendship apart forever.

Nurse Simone Richard: Simone is a short, rotund French nurse employed at Rue Rivol Hospital. She is extremely soft-spoken and kind, highly respected in her field and her impeccable service as a scrub nurse is often requested by doctors in the operating theater.

Nurse Sara Lewis: Sara is a highly-trained Canadian nurse from Vancouver now working at Rue Rivol Hospital in Paris. Sara always hoped to gain a position in Rue Rivol because of its high standard in both medical procedure and care. Extremely well-skilled, she becomes involved in Joy and Cullen’s life in ways she never imagined possible.

Private Nurse Chelsea Hewitt: Chelsea is a stiff, upper-lip Brit who believes in no nonsense approach to nursing, stellar conduct in the affairs of the heart, but is secretly pining for a lost love. She is tall, slim, large-boned, and in her early 60’s with silver hair worn in an old-fashioned bun, and silver-rimmed spectacles adorning her nose. She is also a close friend and old university mate of both André and Charles Danone. Working as a self-proclaimed couturier to shoulder the cost of both university and nursing school, Chelsea’s standards in all fields are impeccable, but she has a secret taste for brandy which often leads to uncontrolled ability to verbally express her feelings in the way she’d like, resulting in embarrassing moments all around. Often misunderstood—especially by Joy—her abrupt manner is often mistaken as callous feelings, but only André and Charles know the actual reason for this.

Marion: Yvette’s bodyguard is bold and brash, takes his job personally, and accompanies Yvette wherever she goes. And though he only appears briefly, his physical actions toward Joy contribute to a dire happening that even the sternest of bodyguards would find disgusting.

Adult Emily Wychmere: Emily is Joy’s eldest granddaughter, now middle aged, never married by choice, and owns one of the most successful equestrian stables in Ontario.

Adult Dr. Joesph Wychmere: Joy’s only grandson is a middle-aged Toronto based Neurosurgeon, and father of C-J, his daughter with his x-wife Culette, Cullen Malone and Yvette Bouvier’s daughter.

Adult Nurse Maxine Wychmere: Joy’s youngest granddaughter Maxi, or Max as she is called by her cousins, is a middle-aged nurse who works in the private sector, choosing to care for her ailing grandfather at his northern estate. Maxi is single; most reserved in her outlook toward marriage and long term commitment, but is happy in the life she’s chosen.

Adult C-J Wychmere: C-J, whose initials stand for Christmas Joy, is Joy’s great granddaughter, and the only daughter of Culette Malone and Joesph Wychmere. Born, raised, and educated in Paris France, C-J has lived a sheltered, privileged life, and continues to reside in Paris. Born into wealth and privilege, the kind young mademoiselle has inherited the eyes of her grandfather, and the steadfast loyalty of her great grandmother, but has never known the harshness that life can bring, and is heartbroken when she learns the truth about her grandfather, and great grandmother.
