Romantic Fiction Author Rusty Blackwood Toots Her Own Horn ….

Joe quickly embraced his trembling daughter, pulling her slight body against him as he tried his best to comfort her, while his sister sat before the open tablets, staring in contemplation, her fingers poised slightly on an aged page as if not sure whether to turn to the next. It seemed each one was worse than the prior, yet written with such conviction that they could not stop themselves from looking.

The contents of their grandmother’s diary held things, secrets, desires that they were not sure they wished to know; yet the words revealing these emotions, these revelations were things that actually happened to people dear to them, experienced by those whom they shared their life with, laughed with, and loved so very dearly. Every word revealed an inner thought, a feeling, life, yet written with such open honesty of a love so intense, so deeply embedded within the heart and soul of the woman that set these words on the paper as if she were carving them into stone for eternity, were genuinely impressive, if not shocking …

The above excerpt is taken from my latest romantic fiction drama, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ which I would like to bring to the attention of those wishing an intense, in depth read, where the characters come alive and pull you into their world, and love is truly love, I am pleased to say that Passions in Paris, written in the tradition of ‘Dracula’ and ‘What Dreams May Come’, has been compared to Eric Segal’s ‘Love Story’, and Nicholas Sparks’ ‘The Notebook’, and has garnered a 4-star rating on Amazon, accompanied with excellent editorial reviews, as well as those by readers who have enjoyed their journey throughout the book.

As my heading states in regard to ‘tooting one’s own horn’, it’s right. It may be a tad bold, but it’s right. After-all, in this day and age if I don’t do it then who will? Quite often readers do not realize how much they might enjoy reading an author’s work of whom they might not be familiar with because they haven’t had their name hyped every single media second, or their titles crowding the shelves of their local bookstore, but that does not mean the title is not worthy of attention or reading, and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed in the journey you will take within the pages of the salacious and gripping Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary.
