Romantic Fiction Author Rusty Blackwood’s January Newsletter 2014!

I begin the very first newsletter of 2014 by saying Happy New Year to each and every one of you! I hope this will be a wonderful year for each of you, filled with the best of health and happiness! January has been a dreadfully frigid month with temperatures dipping well below the norm. We have endured what was dubbed An Arctic Vortex early in the month, and have recently been visited with what has been called Vortex, the Sequel. Whatever the name or the reasoning behind it, it will be good to see it leave. The thermometer has risen a tad today and the winds are minimal. Let’s hope it stays that way and now on with the January literary news.

>> It’s been a busy month with regard to my work. In this area authors do not do book-signings during December, but it picks up again in January, and it has begun for me as well. Saturday, January 25th, exactly one month after Christmas, found me signing copies of my stirring romance drama, “Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary” at Seaway Mall Coles in Welland, Ont. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coles-Seaway-Mall/131913826860148?filter=2. Always a great time, and this was another one. I very much enjoyed chatting with all those who came by, and once again I hope you enjoy the story you are about to embark on. You can take this following link to check out the event. I return to this bookstore on March 29th between 1- 4:30.

>> Earlier this month I was so excited to see Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary make the transition to Smashwords.com, where it can be downloaded to any electronic reading device. It is a major step for the novel, and I am very proud to have it available for every reader. Please take this link https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/381235 for direct access.

>> I am very pleased to say that I have been invited to sign copies of Passions in Paris at the upcoming, 5th. Annual Romance & Sex Expo happening on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014 at Ramada Convention Center on Lundy’s lane in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada beginning at 5 pm and running until 11. This very worthy and exciting event is being produced by Power Two You Productions, and is in support of Niagara Region Sexual Assault Center for abused women and children.  Please take this link for more info: http://www.powertwoyouproductions.com/niagara-romance/ Should you be in the adjacent areas, I truly hope you will support this great cause.

>> Press Releases are most important in any business, but they are a total must for an Indie author like me.  They highlight many aspects of one’s work, and shines a light where it might not be seen. Please check out my latest by taking this link:

>> Preparations continue for the upcoming three-part-series, An Evening with Rusty, conducted by renowned Internet Radio host, Don McCauley.  I expect this series to begin in March. Check my website at www.rusty-blackwood for updates.

>> Work steady progresses on my upcoming romance drama, Willow’s Walk,’ a gripping story which tells what can unfortunately happen when a mentally abused person is pushed beyond their limit. Willow Crosby is a woman, just like many, who endure everyday life as best they can — that is until she meets a certain someone who decides to have some fun and see where he can take it, until he finds the results are not what he expected. Be sure to watch for updates on this ensuing novel.

I would, as always, like to give my thanks and gratitude to all those who very kindly continue to support my work in the many ways that you do. It’s not an easy road, but through your support it makes the journey a much easier one, as well as an enjoyable one.

And as always, support your local authors as well as all your local talent in the Arts!

Rusty.
