Well here we are, the last day of March before being catapulted into April and we are still waiting for nice weather to look kindly upon us with grace, warmth, and beauty. With the exception of a few warmer days, and a few sun-filled ones, we are still coping with cloud-covered, cool, rainy ones. But as much as this can be both depressing and discouraging, we must be thankful that we are not asked to endure what a lot of other areas have been coping with. But that is the nature of the human beast, complaining, and I am as guilty as the next person, but I do look forward to the nice weather that will assuredly come, and now on with the news of March.

>> I had written and released last month’s newsletter before I had done the last event of the month, which was being held on the very last day of the month, February 28th. It was my last signing for awhile at Seaway Mall COLES and I must say it was a bit bitter-sweet, but I must not be greedy by way of demands, and make way for other local authors who fight just as hard as I to garner a small, often-out-of-the-way spot for our work, and I wish the new occupant in my spot on the romance shelf all the best, and a long successful run. I hope in the future, possibly the fall, to secure a spot for a few copies of my upcoming romantic fiction drama, ‘Willow’s Walk,’ and I hope if I do that the Welland patrons of the Arts will be as receptive as they were for ‘Passions in Paris’, and pick up a copy. >> On the 7th of this month my romantic fiction drama ‘Passions in Paris’ and I were on hand at The Ladies Day Spring Shopping Event held at First Reformed Church, 1136 Vansickle Rd. N. St Catharines, On from 10 am to 3 pm and it can be checked out here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153279496927033.1073741849.192607652032&type=3
*Note: I am always pleased to be able to meet the recipient of an event drawing. This is not always possible and often times the winning name is just that, a winning name pulled from the ballot box, but my event on March 7th was a different story. Not only did I get to personally meet the winner, but I got to spend some quality time over lunch and also write a personal message to her inside the cover of the novel. It truly was my pleasure to meet Jane Stojkiewicz, and I hope she enjoys the incredible journey she is about to embark on within the pages of this riveting and heart-touching story. Again, congratulations, Jane! https://www.facebook.com/writerrusty/posts/10153236415367033

>> As I have mentioned many times, an official Press Release is a must for anyone hoping to keep their name in the media and before the public, not only in the literary world, but the world in general. I am very fortunate to be represented by one of the best in the field of marketing & publicity. Presently we are in the midst of a new Release that is not yet available, so I am going to provide the link to a previous one whose content is always worth repeating. You not only gain insight into a writer’s world, but hopefully get to ‘know’ them a bit better, as well as their views and thoughts. The one I’ve chosen is still one of my favs because it shines a defining light on a problem that continues to escalate for both writers and readers. Comments are always welcome on these Releases, as well as comments in general which can be left on my Journal/Blog. Watch for it, summer 2015

‘From the author of the 4-star romantic fiction drama ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ comes a gripping new tale …

The path each person walks is entirely their own. The pitfalls in that path, as well as the way in which they are dealt with is entirely up to the individual encountering them. Most use common sense and are successful in their plight —

But Willow Sutherland-Crosby has her own agenda.

Romance, intrigue, and a never ending search for happiness. This is what awaits the eye within the pages of this gripping new novel by romantic fiction author Rusty Blackwood.’
