What glorious scenery! Is there anything more breath-taking than multiple cascades of luscious lavender Wisteria? I had never seen this whimsical flower until I moved to the Niagara area, and what a find it was! Niagara is, without a doubt, an artist’s paradise. Every direction you care to look is alive with colour, lushness, and beauty. Often times work, busy schedules, or simply lack of attention cause people to miss out on the gift nature has given them. I certainly don’t miss out, and I hope you don’t either, and now on with my news of May.

>> It has been a busy month by way of preparation on my upcoming romantic fiction novel, ‘Willow’s Walk,’ as well as a new book-signing for ‘Passions in Paris’ and getting things in order for the annual Niagara Literary Arts Festival June 1st through June 31st. I am doing five readings this year, and I hope those in my area will take the opportunity to check one out. So many fine writers, poets, and musicians from the immediate area, as well as from other areas, come together for this month-long event to share their talents, musings, and artistry. There is something for every taste, so do come out and support this worthy festival. Take this link for the scheduled lineup: http://www.nlaf.jigsy.com/

I am honored to return, and also to be aboard the opening festivities being held this year in the Center Court of Welland’s Seaway Mall : https://www.facebook.com/seawaymall

It is greatly appreciated. It was a good day, and it was nice to return. I very much enjoy doing interviews for they allow the reader an insight to the subject they are about. Through interviews and feature articles a certain kind of light is shone on what otherwise can be over-looked, and it also allows the one doing the article to project their own opinions and perception. >> As I have mentioned many times in my monthly newsletters, the importance of Press Releases are not only a needed requirement, they are stellar in the respect of what they do, and what they bring. Please take this link to this month’s Official Press Release: http://ow.ly/NqZGJ

As I mentioned above, work continues to progress on the intense drama, ‘Willow’s Walk’ expected for release in late summer or early fall 2015.

[The path each person walks is entirely their own. The pitfalls along that path, as well as the way in which they are dealt with are entirely up to the individual. Most use common sense, and are successful in their plight.

But Willow Sutherland Crosby walks a far-different path, and with her own agenda.
‘Willow’s Walk’ is a gripping new tale, certain to hold readers captive from the very first page. Set in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada in 2003, this touching story centers on the life and times of a woman determined to prevail at all costs, regardless of what is set before her, the result of which is certain to leave the reader reeling in its wake.

Abuse, deception, intrigue, and a never ending quest for happiness and love. Will she find it, or will her blind determination finally take her down? This is what awaits the eye within the pages of this inspiring romance drama by romantic fiction author Rusty Blackwood.
As I come to end of another newsletter may I take this opportunity to again thank all those who continue to support my work through the many ways that they do. You know who you are, I greatly appreciate each and every effort more than you know.]

And as always, support your local authors as well as all your local talent in the Arts. It is only through support, word of mouth, and purchase of work that an Indie artist can hope to gain notoriety. Give them a chance; you will be pleasantly surprised if you do.

Cheers!
Rusty
