Romantic Fiction author Rusty Blackwood’s October Newsletter 2013

Sorry to be so late with this. There’s nothing like waiting until the very last day of the month to write my monthly news, but better late than never. Today is Halloween/Samhain, and depending on your beliefs, each is celebrated somewhat differently. I believe in both, therefore celebrate each, and I hope that wherever you are you enjoy a safe and happy bewitching season.

>> This has been a rather slow month for me by way of events and activities. No book signings to report on, or appearances, or even a Press Release, however, I did an interview with U K’s Indie romance author, Michelle Abbott, who asked some very unique questions that were a bit out of the norm for interviewers – be they author or journalist — and what they usually ask, but I must say it came off rather well. It’s actually refreshing to be asked some of the things in which she asked, for it allows the reader to learn different aspects and avenues of an author as well as their work. You can check it out at http://www.michelleabbott.com/rustyblackwood.html And watch for our upcoming character interview.

>> Amazon Kindle has finally incorporated their new program entitled Matchbook. This is a new program which allows a Kindle title to be offered at a reduced price if the paperback of the same title is purchased at its normal price. I think this is a fine program, for it not only allows readers to obtain some fine work for their Kindle reader, it also allows addition to their standard library collection. I’m most pleased to announce the inclusion of my newest fictional romance/drama, ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ into it. Check it out at: http://www.amazon.com/Passions-Paris-Revelations-Lost-Diary/dp/1482312697/ref=la_B0092XLBRM_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1383236600&sr=1-1

>> Work steadily progresses on my upcoming ‘Willow’s Walk’, a heart-touching, graphic fictional romance/drama that tells the story of what can happen when a tortured woman is pushed beyond her limits. Please check my website for updates on this upcoming novel, and take this link:  https://www.facebook.com/notes/rusty-blackwood/an-excerpt-from-willows-walk-2013/672218452797536 to my Facebook for an insightful excerpt. Enjoy!

>> For those in my area I will be signing a limited amount of copies of ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’ on November 16th from 1 – 4:45 pm at Seaway Mall Coles in Welland, Ontario. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coles-Seaway-Mall/131913826860148.  The following Saturday, November 23rd, will find me at St. Catharines’ Fairview Mall Chapters from 1 – 4 pm. https://www.facebook.com/ChaptersSt.Catharines  I will be helping to kick off the holiday season, so if you’re in the area, come on by, say hello, and pick up a signed copy of Passions/Revelations, a most passionate and stimulating read for the long, upcoming winter evenings ahead.

>> In each newsletter of late I have been promoting the upcoming Niagara Romance & Sex Expo, which is happening on February 14th from 5 to 11 pm where I will be signing copies of  ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary.’ More info on this exciting event can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/events/591628614193106/

As October quickly comes to a close I would again like to say thank you to everyone who continues to support my work, and help to spread the word about it. Please know how very much it is appreciated. And as always, support you local authors, as well as all your local talent in the Arts.

Cheers!

Rusty
