Romantic Fiction Indie author Rusty Blackwood’s MAY NEWSLETTER 2013!!

I honestly cannot believe how fast this month has sped past. I’m reminded of my mom telling me ‘that the older you get the faster it goes – or seems to’, well I’m beginning to agree with her! It really does go, and now on with the news of May.

>> The fourth of this month again found me at my favorite venue, St. Catharines’ Fairview Mall CHAPTERS https://www.facebook.com/ChaptersSt.Catharines?ref=ts&fref=ts on behalf of my second children’s short -story collection ‘Through the Eyes of Innocence.’

Through The Eyes Of Innocence Cover

This entertaining collection of shorts is based in part on my own childhood growing up on my paternal grandfather’s south-western Ontario farm in the 1950’s. A far different time than the children of today know. This collection is available at http://www.amazon.com or by taking this direct link http://www.amazon.com/Through-Eyes-Innocence-Rusty-Blackwood/dp/1466466073/ref=la_B0092XLBRM_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1369873850&sr=1-5. Also available at https://www.createspace.com/3712072. It will also be available at my coming online bookstore at my website https://rusty-blackwood.com.   You can check out this event by taking this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151664727202033.1073741826.192607652032&type=1

>>  The 26th of May found me at Stratus Vineyards in lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake http://wineriesofniagaraonthelake.com/stratus where I took part in the event, SPRUNG, along with fifteen  fellow authors and poets from Grey Borders Publishing  http://www.greyborders.jigsy.com/  where I did two readings, the first consisting of four selections of poetry from my second collection, Impressions, which can be obtained at, https://www.createspace.com/3683133 as well as http://www.amazon.com/Impressions-Emotion-Ms-Rusty-Blackwood/dp/1466296348/ref=la_B0092XLBRM_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369878303&sr=1-1

It was a windy, cool day, but sunny and I believe everyone had a good time. You may check out the event by taking this link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151708086927033.1073741827.192607652032&type=1

>> Last minute preparations are being done on my new romance/drama ‘Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary’, due for release in early June.  I had hoped for a late May release but this was not to be the case, yet it doesn’t take one bit of excitement away from this beautiful love story’s coming presence. Stay tuned for its official release announcement by Mr. Don McCauley  of the free  publicity focus group  * www.freepublicitygroup.com   and revisit the latest news at http://www.freepublicitygroup.com/release_rusty_blackwood_mar13.html

>> For those in my area I will be reading from Passions/Revelations at the Pelham Festival Book Fair http://pelhamlibrary.on.ca/node/592 to be held on June 22nd. at the Pelham Library located in the quaint village of Fonthill, Ontario from 2 – 4 pm.  Come on out and enjoy this event, part of Grey Borders’ Niagara Literary Arts Festival happening across the Niagara Region in June.

As another month draws to a close I wish to take this opportunity once again to thank all those who so kindly lend their support, and stalwart shoulders. It is appreciated more than you know. And as always, support your local authors, as well as all your local talent in the Arts.

Cheers!

Rusty.
